Dental Implants in Ghatkopar East, Mumbai

A titanium root that fuses to your jaw bone and carries a tooth that looks and works like the one you lost — placed by a fellowship-trained implantologist.

★★★★★Many thanks for his excellent advice and treatment over the past 4–5 years. I’ve undergone root canals, implants and extractions with him. His work is of high quality, durable.Nirav Shah — patient of 5 years

A dental implant is a titanium screw placed in the jaw bone to replace the root of a missing tooth. It fuses with the bone, then carries a crown that looks and works like the tooth you lost — without filing down the healthy teeth either side.

What a dental implant actually is

A dental implant is the most natural solution to a missing tooth. It is a root-shaped titanium screw that replaces the root of the tooth. It is placed into the jaw bone, where it fuses with the bone over time — a process called osseointegration. Once it has fused, the visible tooth is fitted on top.

The advantage over a bridge is that the healthy teeth either side are left alone. A bridge requires them to be filed down to carry it. An implant stands on its own.

Why a missing tooth is worth replacing

Missing teeth let the facial muscles sag, which ages the face. They affect speech and chewing. And they affect people privately — patients often say they had stopped smiling in photographs, or had been chewing on one side for years without noticing. Implants act and feel like natural teeth.

What an implant can replace

A single missing tooth

One implant, one crown, and the neighbouring teeth are untouched.

Several missing teeth

A small number of implants can carry a bridge across a longer gap — you do not need one implant per tooth.

A full jaw — full mouth reconstruction

Needed when all the teeth are missing in one or both jaws. The number of implants and the type of superstructure, fixed or removable, is specific to each person and decided after a thorough investigation and a discussion with you. Options include All-on-4, All-on-6, All-on-X, Teeth in 72 hours, hybrids and overdentures.

“I was told I don’t have enough bone”

This is one of the most common reasons people are turned away elsewhere, and in most cases it is a reason to prepare the site rather than abandon the plan. Where there is a bone or soft-tissue deficit, procedures such as bone grafting, sinus lift and soft-tissue augmentation rebuild the foundation so an implant can be placed safely. Our centre specialises in these advanced procedures.

Implant types and brands used here

Options offered: titanium, zirconia, basal and customised implants (BoneEasy).

Brands: Nobel Biocare, Straumann, Ankylos and Osstem, among others. These are the systems used across Europe and the USA — which matters if you ever need service on the implant in another country, because the components are available worldwide.

Common questions

Is an implant better than a bridge?

A bridge requires the healthy teeth on either side to be filed down to carry it. An implant stands on its own and leaves them untouched.

I was told I don’t have enough bone. Can I still have implants?

In most cases yes. Where there is a bone or soft-tissue deficit, bone grafting, sinus lift or soft-tissue augmentation rebuilds the foundation first. Our centre specialises in these advanced procedures.

Which implant brands do you use?

Nobel Biocare, Straumann, Ankylos and Osstem among others, plus titanium, zirconia, basal and customised (BoneEasy) options. These are the systems used across Europe and the USA, so components are available worldwide if you ever need service abroad.

Can implants replace all my teeth?

Yes. Full mouth reconstruction options include All-on-4, All-on-6, All-on-X, Teeth in 72 hours, hybrids and overdentures. The number of implants and whether the result is fixed or removable is decided per person after a thorough investigation.

Who performs the surgery?
